382.5- A Midwife Protects, Guides and Heralds New Life, Once Upon a Time (Free)
/

Many new parents are showing renewed interest in natural delivery and home birth, in this era of medical procedure-oriented hospital birth. Once upon a time nearly all birthing was achieved naturally with a Midwife attending. One might ask how modern birthing became the domain of men, when women are the only beings with first-hand experience in creating and delivering new life, but alas, what else would one expect in this vulgar era where up has become down? Here we attempt to ask the right questions in order to comprehend what a natural birth experience is like, and what role the Midwife (and Doula) play. There is a lot to know and it is fitting that we ask a living woman with direct first-hand experience, and many births of her own, under her belt. Common sense dictates that if a man wants to comprehend the birth experience, they would need to ask a woman – careful now, questioning the natural role of gender, is a no-no, in this era of synthetic vulgarity.
